Our Identity
Paul proclaimed in Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Jesus emphatically stated in Matthew 16:24 “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me”. Examination of these scriptures should leave little doubt about Me, myself and I in relationship to this walk with the Lord. The Word teaches that we are bought with a price, we do not belong to ourselves any longer. The flesh doesn’t like these words, the world would say that we are in bondage. However this is further from the truth, rather true freedom can only come from allowing the Lord to direct and order our steps. My identity must be found in Him and His word. This world will leave you empty, the thief comes but to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came to give an abundant life. The old song that says “the things of this world grow strongly dim”, is being manifested on a daily basis. Seek the Lord while He can yet be found, Jesus is coming soon for His bride who looks for His coming.
