Every Season Has Purpose

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:. Ecc 3:1

Some season are longer than others. If you’ve grown up in Upstate NY you understand that Winter is one of those longer seasons. I’ve found in my walk with God that there are short seasons and some very long long seasons. I specifically remember asking the Lord “how long do I have to be in this place?” His response was clear to my mind. Although not an audible voice, I clearly heard “As long as it takes!” the Bible says in Psalm 105:19 speaking of Joseph, “the word of the Lord tried him:”. His ways are not our ways nor His thoughts our thoughts. There is a way that seems right unto man, but that is a way to destruction. The Word states that it is not in man to find his own way. We are encouraged in Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;…” He is perfect in All His ways, and we have a promise of an expected end. Not only and expected end, but Romans 8:28 states that He is able to work All things together for our good, to those who love him and look for his appearing. So hold on, endure, be not weary in well do, for in “due season we shall reap if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
