Buried with Leah

Genesis 29:25 And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: … Bible says that our light affliction works for us a far more exceeding weight of glory. Jacob worked for one and got another. I would love to photoshop a good portion of my life or swipe the memory of my mind regarding many a failure. However that is not possible and the Lord allows our past and present circumstances to bring us to a place where we recognize that without Him we can do nothing. Leah wasn’t very attractive and was devalued for possibly much of her life. However in this story we see that it was Leah who bore Jacob more children than Rachel. Its the challenging things of life, the “thorns of the flesh” that have an ability to bring forth the peaceable fruit of righteousness. It was Leah to whom Jacob was buried with, not Rachel. Think it not strange concerning the fiery trial that is to try you, but rejoice insomuch as ye are partakers of Chirst’s sufferings… I Peter 4:12
